Thanksgiving Lift was created to unite our community around a simple but powerful mission: helping local families experience the warmth and tradition of Thanksgiving.
Through the combined efforts of the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce, Connecticut Foodshare, Wheeler & Taylor Insurance, local businesses, volunteers, and generous supporters, Thanksgiving Lift provides food assistance and community support throughout the holiday season.
Every contribution, volunteer hour, and partnership helps create a stronger community where neighbors come together to support one another when it matters most.

How It Works
Together, We Can Make a Difference
Thanksgiving Lift brings our community together in four simple ways: give what you can, get involved, make an impact, and help lift our neighbors this Thanksgiving.
Give What You Can
Donate non-perishable Thanksgiving foods, make a financial contribution, or sponsor a Thanksgiving meal. Every gift helps provide support to local families.
Get Involved
Businesses, organizations, families, and individuals can host collection boxes, organize food drives, make matching gifts, or become campaign sponsors.
Make An Impact
Donations collected through Thanksgiving Lift help Connecticut Foodshare and local community partners provide food and resources to families throughout the region this Thanksgiving.

Bring your Thanksgiving Lift donations inside our Glastonbury office during the campaign. Our team will collect your items and make sure they are included in the community food drive supporting local families this Thanksgiving.
What to Bring:
• Non-perishable Thanksgiving sides
• Canned chicken and tuna
• Nut butters
• Shelf-stable milk
• Other non-perishable foods
• Grocery store gift cards
• Target, Walmart or Amazon gift cards
